HEREBY notify that in pursuance of the seventh section of "The Highways Act, 1871, Amendment Act, 1871," I have appointed

Thomas Hunter, J.P., and
Charles Osborne,

to be Auditors for the RUARANGI Highway District, in the place and stead of —— Miller and Alfred Wintle.

Mr. Samuel Jno. De Carteret,

for permission to construct a Dam across the Papakura River on lot 21 of the parish of Papakura, together with the necessary Water-right.

for permission to construct a Dam across Whangamaire Creek, Karaka, together with the necessary Water-right.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

Under and in pursuance of the powers in me vested by "The Impounding Act, 1867," I do hereby declare that the Town of Gisborne shall from the date hereof come and be within the operation of the provisions of the said Act, in respect of cattle so straying, going about, being tethered, or depastured in any highway or public place therein, according to the limits set forth in the Schedule hereunder.

Given under my hand at Auckland, this twenty-seventh day of May, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

SCHEDULE.

Bounded towards the north and north-east by the centre of the Turanganui river, from the north-western angle of allotment No. 111 of the suburbs of Gisborne, to its confluence with the Turanganui river; towards the east by the Turanganui river aforesaid to the production of the line which forms the southern boundary of allotment No. 13, of the town of Gisborne; towards the south by lines on bearings of 131° 35′, 302° 12′, 97° 42′, 258° 20′, 73° 44′, 261° 10′, and 57° 35′, the said lines being the southern boundary of the town and suburbs of Gisborne; and towards the west by the western side of Lytton road aforesaid to Taruheru river first-mentioned, at the place of commencement...


PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Under and in pursuance of the powers in me vested in that behalf by "The Impounding Act, 1867," I do hereby appoint those premises erected on that piece or parcel of land being part of Allotment No. 1 of Section No. 6 of the suburbs of Auckland, to be and be used as a Public Pound for the purposes of the said recited Act.

Given under my hand at Auckland, this twenty-seventh day of May, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

The above fees to be paid for each day, or part of a day, during which the animal is kept in pound.
