PROCLAMATION.
By THOMAS BANNATYNE GILLIES, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
By virtue of the powers delegated to me by His Excellency the Governor in Council, under this hand and the Public Seal of the Colony, I do hereby proclaim and declare that the following lands within the boundaries of the Hauraki Gold Mining District shall be exempt from occupation for mining purposes, or for machine sites, or for business or residence sites, namely, all lands excepted from gold mining in the agreements with the native owners thereof bearing the respective dates of 23rd June, 1862; 11th October, 1864; 9th November, 1867; 9th March, 1868; 13th May, 1868; and 15th October, 1868; and also all lands within the several Districts affected by the above mentioned agreements which at the respective dates of the said agreements were therefore granted by the Crown.
Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the said Province, at Auckland, this twenty-second day of January, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

By virtue of the powers and authority vested in me as Superintendent by the eleventh section of "The Auckland Waste Lands Act, 1867," and upon the recommendation of the Auckland Provincial Council, made in conformity thereto, I do hereby proclaim and declare that I have made the following Reserves, and dedicated the same to the public purposes respectively hereunder set forth, that is to say:β

Allotment No. 123, containing 5 acres 3 roods 13 perches; bounded towards the north by a road 300 links; towards the east by allotment No. 23 of the village of Hakaru 250 links; again towards the north by allotments Nos. 23, and 21 of the village of Hakaru aforesaid 200 links; again towards the east by a road 1010 links; towards the south by a road 500 links; and towards the west by allotments Nos. 122, and 121, 1,267 links. Allotment No. 124, containing 2 acres and 20 perches, bounded towards the north by allotments Nos. 19, 17, and 15, of the village of Hakaru, and the abutment of a road 865 links; towards the east by the Hakaru...
