IT is hereby notified that Friday, the 24th instant, will be observed as a Public Holiday, at the Provincial Government Offices, in honour of Her Majesty’s Birthday.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IT is hereby notified that the Mining Lease set forth in the Schedule hereunder has been surrendered, and that the land therein mentioned is open for occupation under “The Gold Mining Districts Act, 1871.”

SCHEDULE.

The Thistle Gold Mining Company, Registered; 15 years’ lease of 14 acres situated on the Ohio Creek, Karaka Block; lease dated 19th October, 1871; surrendered, 10th May, 1872.


PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

UNDER and in pursuance of the 13th clause of “The Auckland Waste Lands Act, 1867,” I hereby notify that I have set apart ten allotments in the Township of Gisborne as Sites for places of Worship;

and I hereby invite the representatives of the several religious bodies, recognised as having officiating Ministers within the provisions of the “Marriage Act,” who may be resident within the Province of Auckland, and who may wish to obtain Sites for places of Worship, to make to the Waste Lands Commissioner, on or before Thursday, the 30th day of May instant, written application for one of the said allotments.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, in the said Province, this tenth day of May, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.
