PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Esquire, Superintendent of the
Province of Auckland.
In pursuance of the Quarantine Regulations in force within the Colony of New Zealand, and in compliance with a recommendation to that effect made by the Board of Health, for the Port of MANUKAU, I do hereby appoint the station or place within the said Port, described in the Schedule hereunder, to be used for the performance of Quarantine, according to the said Regulations.
Given under my hand, at Auckland, this fourth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

Schedule.
The station or place situated at Blockhouse Point (South Whau) Manukau Harbour, comprising a block of land contained within the following Magnetic Bearings:—Terminating at the approximated distances hereto annexed and marked by an Arrow painted black.—Commencing at Blockhouse Point on a line of fourteen (14) chains to Boundary Point, bearing N. 57 W.; from thence over the crest of a hill bearing S. 28 W. until Station Point bears S. 22 E., and then along the Harbour frontage sixteen (16) chains N. 57 E. anchorage, abreast of station in four (4) fathoms water low tides.

IT is hereby notified that the application for a Mining Lease set forth in the Schedule hereunder has been withdrawn.

Schedule.
The Thames View Gold Mining Company, Registered, applied for by C. Fletcher; 15 years’ lease of 1½ acres, bounded by the “Pukehinau,” “Berkeley Castle,” and “Pride of Moanatai” Claims, Karaka; application dated 20th November, 1871; withdrawn 15th April, 1872.

I do hereby notify that I have appointed Henry Goldsmith, Esq., of Grahamstown, to be Inspector under “The Gold Mining Districts Act, 1871,” for the Hauraki Gold Mining District lying south of the northern boundary of the Waikawau Block.
