HIS Excellency the Governor having proclaimed Thursday, the 9th day of May instant as a General Holiday, it is hereby notified that the Offices of the Provincial Government will be closed during that day.

PROCLAMATION.

BY THOMAS BANNATYNE GILLIES,
Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in me by an Act of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Auckland, intituled, “The Opaheke Road Act, 1871” (Session XXVII, No. 6), I do hereby proclaim and declare that the said Act shall come into force on and after the fifteenth day of May next.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, this twenty-seventh day of April, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

for permission to construct a Dam across Whangamaire Creek, Karaka, together with the necessary Water-right.

I DO hereby notify that an application has been made by the Chairman of the Whakapaku Highway Board to have the Blocks of Land in the County of Mongonui, called and known as Pumuka Blocks Nos. 1 and 2, together with the land lying between the said Blocks and the Wangaroa Harbour, added to the Whakapaku Highway District: and I hereby invite the Board of Trustees for the Kaio Highway to meet and consider the application.
