PROCLAMATION.

By Thomas Bannatyne Gillies, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

WHEREAS, under the provisions of "The Neglected and Criminal Children Act, 1867," a School, known as THE INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL BRITOMART BARRACKS, has been established by private contributions, and is supported by contributions in part out of the revenues of the Province of Auckland under "The Appropriation Act, 1871," of the Legislature of the said Province: Now therefore I, Thomas Bannatyne Gillies, the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland aforesaid, do hereby approve the said School as an Industrial School for the purposes of the said recited Act.

Given under my hand and the public seal of the said Province, this twentieth day of February, in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and seventy-one.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 20th February, 1871.

In pursuance of the 29th Section of "The Goldfields Act, 1866," and of the Regulations made under that Act for the granting of Leases for Gold Mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant Leases for Gold Mining purposes to the Applicants specified in the Schedule hereunder, unless valid objections can be shown against granting such Leases.
