Auckland, 19th December, 1871.

It is hereby notified that the Offices of the Provincial Government will be Closed on Monday and Tuesday, the 25th and 26th instant, and also on Monday and Tuesday, the 1st and 2nd January, 1872.

It is also notified that all Claims upon the Thames and Coromandel Goldfields will be deemed to be duly protected from Saturday the 23rd instant until Tuesday the 2nd proximo, both days inclusive.

PROCLAMATION.

By Thomas Bannatyne Gillies, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

In pursuance of "The Highways Act, 1871," I do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the first day of January, 1872, the Public Ferries hereunder enumerated shall be under the control of the District Boards under the said Act respectively set forth opposite thereto, namely:--

It is hereby notified that the application for a Mining Lease set forth in the Schedule hereunder has been withdrawn.
