NOTICE.

THE Hamilton District Board hereby call the attention of Ratepayers to clause 42 of "The Highways Act, 1871," and notify that in pursuance thereof they have appointed the Court House, Hamilton, as the legal place for payment of the Rate for the current year ending 30th June, 1872.

I, THE undersigned, WILLIAM SURFLEN, hereby make application to register "THE NEW RAKAIAGOLD MINING COMPANY REGISTERED," under the provisions of "The Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act, 1865," and "The Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act Amendment Acts, 1869 and 1870," and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, viz.:

  1. The name and style of the Company is The New Rakaia Gold Mining Company, Registered.

  2. The place of operations is at Tokatea Range Coromandel Goldfield, in the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

  3. The nominal capital of the Company is Thirty thousand pounds in Six thousand shares of Five pounds each.

  4. The amount already paid up in cash is Nil, and the amount in partly paid up shares is Fifteen thousand pounds.

  5. The name of the Manager is WILLIAM SURFLEN.

  6. The Office of the Company is at Lower Township, Coromandel.

  7. The names and several residences of the shareholders, and the number of shares held by each at this date, are as follows, namely:

I, THE undersigned, JOHN CALDER, hereby make application to register "THE QUEENSFERRY GOLD MINING COMPANY REGISTERED," under the provisions of "The Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act, 1865," and "The Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act Amendment Acts, 1869 and 1870," and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely:

  1. The name and style of the Company is The Queensferry Gold Mining Company, Registered.

  2. The place of operations is at Tinkers’ Gully, Tararu, at the Thames Goldfield, in the Province of Auckland, in the colony of New Zealand.

  3. The nominal capital of the Company is Three thousand two hundred pounds, in Twelve thousand eight hundred shares of Five shillings each.

  4. The amount already paid up in cash is £1,280, and £1,920 in partly paid up shares allotted to the Company.

  5. The name of the Manager is JOHN CALDER.

  6. The Office of the Company is at Williamson-street, Grahamstown.

  7. The names and several residences of the shareholders, and the number of shares held by each at this date, are as follows, namely:
