PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 29th November, 1871.
IT is hereby notified that Leases have been refused to the applicants specified in the Schedule hereunder, and that the land therein mentioned, in so far as not otherwise legally occupied, is now open for occupation.
Plans may be seen at the Engineer’s Office, Grahamstown.

SCHEDULE.
Edward King Tyler, of Grahamstown: 15 years’ lease of 16 acres; situated in the Upper Tararu District, and adjoining the land for which James Garvey has lately applied for a lease; application (R.B. 921) dated 27th June, 1871.
John Alwent Chapman; 15 years’ lease of 16 acres of auriferous quartz land; bounded on the north by the “Celt” Claim, other boundaries by unoccupied ground; known as the “Pluto” Claim; application (R.B. 922) dated 27th June, 1871.
Alexander Beveridge, of Grahamstown, Mining Agent; 15 years’ lease of 15 acres or thereabouts, bounded on the east by the “Vulcan” and “Cyclops,” and on all other sides by unoccupied ground, Upper Tararu; application (R.B. 955) dated 5th September, 1871.
COROMANDEL GOLDFIELD.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Auckland, 29th November, 1871.
IN pursuance of the 29th section of “The Goldfields Act, 1866,” and of the Regulations made under that Act for the granting of Leases for Gold Mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant Leases for Gold Mining purposes to the Applicants specified in the Schedule hereunder, unless valid objections can be shewn against granting such Leases.
Copies of the applications made, and plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office, Coromandel.

SCHEDULE.
Thomas Moore, James McGimpsey, James Magorey, Robert Magorey, John Knox, and James Rolstown, applied for by Thomas Moore; 15 years’ lease of 16 acres quartz mining land on the ranges in Pita’s land, about one mile east from Court-house, Coromandel; not held under Miner’s Rights; application received in Warden’s Office, Coromandel, at 11:45 a.m., on the 18th November, 1871.
W. G. White, applied for by Arthur Pittar; 15 years’ lease of 16 acres, auriferous land, adjacent to Tookey’s Battery and to the eastward and north-eastward and south-eastward of the same.
