NOTICE OF TIMES AND PLACES FOR INVESTIGATING CLAIMS.

NOTICE is hereby given that the claims, on behalf of themselves and others, of the several persons whose names are mentioned in the first column of the Schedule hereunder written, to the several blocks of land, of which the names and localities are mentioned in the second column, the boundaries of which are published in the Schedule hereunder, will be investigated at Haruru, Waitangi, on the 2nd day of January, 1872, and following days.

SCHEDULE.

Name of Claimant. Name and Locality of Block. Boundaries of the lands as translated from the Claims. Place where Plan will be deposited for public inspection.
Wiremu Katene and Heta Te Haara Ramarama, near Kawakawa The boundary commences at the new bridge on the Kawakawa River, then goes along by the seabeach until it reaches the surveyed line of Tuataranui, turns then and goes on the surveyed line until it reaches the Ramarama river, goes along the seabeach to the main road lately made, and along that road to the bridge.
Wiremu Te Tahua, Hare, Poti, Hemi Te Hakiro, and others Manukarere, near Te Kawakawa Commences at the new bridge on the Kawakawa river and goes by the boundary of Te Moke, Manukarere, Ihutonga, Waingarara, Wharaunui, Te Karaka, on to the new main road, then turns and goes by that road to the bridge.
Rakena Waiua, Rakena Weikai-taia and Kingi Kaapo Rakena Aputerewa No. 1, Mangonui Adjoining the Oruru boundary, and lying opposite the Island in the Mangonui harbour, frontage to the Aputerewa stream. Kororareka, Bay of Islands.
Pororua Wharekauri, Hohepa Kiwa and Meiotaku Aputerewa No. 2, Mangonui Adjoining the Oruru boundary and lying opposite the Island in the Mangonui harbour, frontage to the Aputerewa stream.
Eliza Tiraha Cook Puketotara, near Te Waimate These are the boundaries—On the North is Government land, and the Waitangi river; on the West by Government land; on the North by land belonging to Mr. Clarke; and on the East by the Potaetupuhi stream, and goes on towards the Waitangi river.
Rawiri Taiwhanga, Hirini Taiwhanga and others Tohoranui, near Te Kerikeri Commences at Otaha and goes on to Pukenui, Rangatawhiwhi, Ahawere and Te Haha, and on to the Mangonui river; then goes along high water-mark to Karakaiti, Karakanui and Otoa, then turns and goes.

Note: The Maps of such of these lands as have been surveyed can be seen at the Courthouse of the Resident Magistrate, Kororareka, Bay of Islands.
