AUCKLAND PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.

aforesaid, thence by the centre of said road to the southern boundary of allotment No. 135, thence by the southern and western boundaries of said allotment No. 135 to the southern boundary of allotment No. 125, thence by part of said southern boundary, and by the southern and part of the western boundaries of allotment No. 122, to the road which forms part of the southern boundary of said last-named lot, thence by the centre of said road to Omanawa Creek, thence by said creek to its confluence with the Wairoa river, and towards the west by the Wairoa river aforesaid to the harbour of Tauranga, the place of commencement, exclusive of all that portion of the Town of Tauranga, situate to the north of the centre of the road which forms the north-eastern boundary of allotments Nos. 506, 507, 509, 511, 514 and 517 of section No. 2 and blocks Nos. 29 and 80 of the Church Mission Lands.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IN pursuance of the fifth section of "The Highways Act, 1871," I do hereby bring the said Act into operation within the TAURANGA HIGHWAY DISTRICT, and I do appoint the First Meeting of Ratepayers to take place at Captain Fraser’s Store, Tauranga, on Monday, the second day of October next, at 6:30 o’clock p.m., and H. Lufkin Skeet, Esq., to be Chairman of such meeting.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office, Auckland, 15th September, 1871.

I DO hereby notify that the Highway Trustees of the DEVONPORT District have, with my approval, appointed ELON BOND to be the Keeper of the Public Pound at the North Shore, in the room of Constable Samuel Gee, resigned. And I do hereby further notify that the fees and prices set forth in the Schedule annexed to the notification of the appointment of the said Samuel Gee, published in the Provincial Government Gazette No. 5, dated 21st February, 1871, page 37, may be taken and charged by the said Keeper.

IT is hereby notified that Tenders will be received at this office, until 12 o’clock noon, on Monday the thirtieth day of October proximo, for the lease of all that piece or parcel of land, containing one rood, known as the Ropewalk, situate in Howe-street, near the Ponsonby road, and being allotment No. 16 of section No. 53 of the City of Auckland.
