HAURAKI GOLDFIELD.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
It is hereby notified that the applications for Mining Leases set forth in the Schedule hereunder have been abandoned.

SCHEDULE.
William McDonald and Hugh R. Jones, applied for by Arthur Lewin; 15 years’ lease of 16 acres of auriferous land, bounded on the east by the “Kuranui Star” and “Pride of Kuranui” claims, on the south-east by the “Overland Route” Gold Mining Company, embracing the “Diamond” claim, and on the west by vacant ground, Karaka; application (R.B. 865) dated 13th May, 1871.

Jones, applied for by Arthur Lewin; 15 years’ lease of 16 acres of auriferous land, bounded on the west by the “Overland Route” Gold Mining Company, and on the south by the beach, embracing the “Royal Albert,” “Kohinoor,” and “Valentine” claims, Karaka; application (R.B. 866) dated 13th May, 1871.
COROMANDEL GOLDFIELD.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
In pursuance of the 29th section of “The Goldfields Act, 1866,” and of the Regulations made under that Act for the granting of Leases for Gold Mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant Leases for Gold Mining purposes to the applicants specified in the Schedule hereunder, unless valid objections can be shown against granting such Leases.
Copies of the applications made, and plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office, Coromandel.

SCHEDULE.
Edward Pratt; 15 years’ lease of 16 acres, auriferous land, bounded on the east by the “Golden Harp,” on the west by the sea beach, on the north by unoccupied ground, and on the south by the “Green Harp” lease, not held under Miners’ Rights; application received in Warden’s Office, Coromandel, at 11:35 a.m., 9th September, 1871.
The Conquering Hero Gold Mining Company, Registered, applied for by C. W. Hall; 15 years’ lease of 10 acres, being part of ground on the Kapanga Creek, forming part of the “Alpha and Omega” lease, partly held under Miners’ Rights; application received in Warden’s Office, Coromandel, at 1:45 p.m., 9th September, 1871.
