COROMANDEL GOLDFIELD.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
IN pursuance of the 29th section of “The Goldfields Act, 1866,” and of the Regulations made under that Act for the granting of Leases for Gold Mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a Lease for Gold Mining purposes to the applicant specified in the Schedule hereunder, unless valid objections can be shown against granting such Lease.
Copy of the application made, and plan annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office, Coromandel.

SCHEDULE.
The Royal Oak Gold Mining Company, Tokatea Range, Coromandel: applied for by W. Home,
15 years’ lease of 2 acres, more or less, being all that parcel of land bounded on the North by the “Tokatea” Gold Mining Company’s ground, on the South and West by the “Little and Good” Claim, and on the East by the “Little Wonder” Gold Mining Company’s ground; ground held under Miners’ Rights and known as the “Royal Oak” Claim; easement required: the sole use of the low level tunnel, and space to discharge quartz and mullock over the side of the hill, to be shown on the plan; application received in Warden’s Office, Coromandel, at 1:40 p.m. on the 7th August, 1871.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers in the Superintendent, vested by “The Impounding Act, 1867,” I do hereby appoint those premises situated within the boundaries of the Dedwood Highway District, known as lot 101 of the subdivision into lots of original allotment 21 of section 8 of the suburbs of Auckland, to be, and to be used as a Public Pound, for the purposes of the said recited Act.
Given under my hand, at Auckland, this fifteenth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-one.

And I do hereby further notify that the fees and prices set forth in the following Schedule may be taken and charged by the said Keeper.

I.—Poundage Fees.

The above charges to be paid for each day or part of a day, during which the animal is supplied with food and water by the Poundkeeper, but the owner may supply food and water, in which case these charges are not to be made.
III.—Charges for giving notice of Impounding.
The charge for giving notice of the impounding of Cattle to the owner thereof, or his agent shall be computed at the rate of one shilling for every mile or part of a mile of the distance between the public pound and the usual place of residence of such owner, or agent as the case may be.
IV.—Charges for giving public notice under the 20th Section of the said Act of the Impounding of Cattle

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in the Superintendent under the 4th clause of “The Highways Act, 1871,” I do hereby notify that all that portion of the Province of Auckland hereunder described shall be a district under the said Act, and that such district shall be known by the name prefixed thereto, that is to say—
THE ALEXANDRA TOWNSHIP HIGHWAY DISTRICT,
comprising all those lands in the townships of Alexandra East and Alexandra West, situated in the
Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 15th August, 1871.
I DO hereby notify that the Highway Trustees of the Dedwood District have, with my approval, appointed
Mr. William Alcock
to be the Keeper of the Public Pound at DEDWOOD.
