W. G. DAVIES, for the Comet No. 1 Gold Mining Company; 15 years’ lease of 1 ½ acre more or less, adjoining the “Middle Star”, and known as “Comet No. 1” claim, Moanataiari Creek, Thames; held under Miners’ right; application notified in Gazette No. 25, dated 7th May, 1869, page 366.
ALEXANDER McKENZIE, for the Rockhampton Gold Mining Company; 15 years’ lease of about 3 acres, bounded on the North by the Manakau Extended Gold Mining Company, on the South by the “Tui” claim, on the West by the Golden Crown Extended Gold Mining Company, and on the East by the “Southern Enterprise” Gold Mining Company, and situate on the Waiotahi Creek; held under Miners’ rights; application notified in Gazette No. 58, dated 27th August, 1869, page 857.
JOHN P. IT is hereby notified that the several applications for Mining Leases set forth in the Schedule hereunder, have been withdrawn, and the land therein mentioned, is so far as not occupied under Miners’ rights, is now open for occupation.

HOLLAND, 15 years’ lease of 16½ acres; commencing at a peg near Mr. Bateman’s Cordial Manufactory, thence towards the East by a line to a peg near the Burial ground, thence towards the South by a line at right angles to H. W. M., thence towards the S. S. West and West by H. W. M., thence towards the North by a line to the point of commencement; situate in the Shortland Township; application notified in Gazette No. 63, dated 8th September, 1869, page 995; withdrawn 22nd January, 1870.
WILLIAM CLARK AND FRANCIS CLARK, for the Woodcroft Castle Gold Mining Company; 15 years’ lease of 10 acres more or less; peg and peg with the “Argus” and “Gerald’s” leases, and the swamp Puriri; situate at Puriri; application notified in Gazette No. 69, dated 25th September, 1869, page 1,183.

LAURANCE BUTLER, for the Universal Gold Mining Company; 15 years’ lease of 8 acres more or less; adjoining “Alabama” and “Sacramento,” “Auckland Go-a-Head” claims Alabama Creek, Karaka Block; application notified in Gazette No. 66, dated 15th September, 1869, page 1,055; withdrawn 31st January, 1870.
JAMES HICKEY, for self and party, 15 years’ lease of 15 acres, more or less; situated on the Main Creek, Coromandel, and bounded on the East by McIsaacs’ and Duke of Leinster claims, on the South by the Flowers of the Forest claim, and on all other sites by unoccupied ground; known as the Phoenix Park claim; application notified in Gazette No. 80, dated 22nd October, 1869, page 1367; withdrawn 25th January, 1870.
