SCHEDULE.
The New Zealand Gold Mining Company, Registered; 15 years’ lease of 9 acres, 1 rood, 31 perches; adjoining the "Flora McDonald" and "Pride of Karaka" Claims, Shortland; lease dated 16th February, 1870; surrendered 28th November, 1870.
Boundaries of allotments Nos. 558, 559, 560, 561, 562, 563, and 566, all of the township of Newcastle; and on the South and West by the Waipa River.

By Thomas Bannatyne Gillies, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
Under and in pursuance of the powers in me vested by the third clause of "The Highways Act, 1867," I do hereby notify that I have altered and amended the boundaries of the Newcastle Highway District, as hereunder set forth.

THE NEWCASTLE HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
Amended Boundaries.
Bounded on the North by the Southern boundary of allotment No. 15 of the Parish of Pepepe, and by the Tutaikohea Creek to the Waikato River; on the North-east by the centre of the Waikato River, from the Tutaikohea Creek aforesaid, to the North-western boundary of the Parish of Pukete; on the South-east by the North-western boundary of the Parish of Pukete aforesaid, from the Waikato River aforesaid, to the Southern boundary of allotment No. 69A of the Parish of Horotiu; thence by said Southern boundary and by the Southern boundaries of allotments Nos. 38, 60, 61, 62, and 64, all of the Parish of Horotiu aforesaid, to the Waipa River; and on the West by the Waipa River aforesaid, to the road near the mouth of the Timaru or Bluenose Creek; thence Westward by said road for a distance of about 88 chains; thence by a right line bearing due north to the Hakarimata range; thence by said range and by a right line bearing North-east to the South-western boundary of allotment No. 15 of the Parish of Pepepe, the point of commencement.
Exclusive of the township of Newcastle.

I HEREBY notify that the Chairman of the Annual Meeting of the Electors of the aforenamed District under "The Highways Act, 1867," has reported in writing to me the names and designations of the under-mentioned persons, duly elected Highway Trustees for that District; namely:—
Rangiaohia:—J. Bridgeman, Settler; A. Ramsay, Settler; A. Kay, Settler; J. Cunningham, Settler; and E. Cusabs, Settler.

By virtue of the powers in me vested by "The Highways Act, 1867," I do hereby notify that all that portion of the Province of Auckland, hereunder described, shall be a District under the said Act, and that such District shall be known by the name prefixed thereto, that is to say:—
THE TOWN OF NOARUAWHIA HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
Comprising all that parcel of land known as the township of Newcastle; and being bounded on the North and North-east by the Waikato River; on the South-east by the South-eastern side of the road from the Waikato River aforesaid to the Waipa River which forms the South-eastern boundaries of allotments Nos. 148, 159, 160, 161, 163, 165, 166, 167, 168, 169, 170, 171, and 172; the South-western side of the road which forms the South-western boundaries of allotments Nos. 221, 222, 223, 224, 225, and 226; and the South-eastern side of the road which forms the South-eastern boundary.
