II.—Charges for Food.

The above charges to be paid for each day, or part of a day, during which the animal is supplied with food and water by the Poundkeeper; but the owner may supply food and water, in which case these charges are not to be made.

III.—Charges for giving notice of Impounding.

The charge for giving notice of the Impounding of Cattle to the owner thereof or his agent shall be computed at the rate of one shilling for every mile or part of a mile of the distance between the district pound and the usual place of residence of such owner or agent, as the case may be.

IV.—Charges for giving public notices of the Impounding of Cattle.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers in me vested by the third clause of "The Highways Act, 1867," I do hereby notify that I have altered and amended the boundaries of the Weiti Highway District, as hereunder set forth.

Amended Boundaries.

Bounded towards the North by the Orewa River from Waterloo Creek to the North-eastern angle of allotment No. 146 of the Parish of Waiwera; towards the East by the South-western side of the road which forms the North-eastern boundary of said allotment No. 146, from the Orewa River aforesaid to the South-eastern angle of said allotment No. 146, thence following the South-eastern boundary of allotment No. 146 aforesaid, part of the North-eastern boundary of allotment No. 145, the North-western and South-western boundaries of allotment No. 61, all of the Parish of Waiwera aforesaid, to the Weiti River, and thence by the production of the South-western boundary of allotment No. 61 aforesaid to the Southern bank of the Weiti River aforesaid; again towards the North and towards the North-east by the Weiti River and by the sea to the mouth of the Okura River; towards the South-east by the Okura River aforesaid from its mouth to the South-eastern angle of Dacre's Claim; towards the South by the Southern boundary of Dacre's Claim aforesaid from the Okura River to the South-western angle of said Claim, thence in a straight line to the junction of the road at the Northern boundary of allotment No. 206 of the Parish of Pukeatua with the road which forms the North-eastern boundary of allotment No. 188 of said parish, thence by the Eastern side of said road in a northerly direction to the North-eastern angle of allotment No. 260 of the Parish of Pukeatua aforesaid, thence crossing said road and continuing along the Northern boundary of said allotment No. 260 and part of the Northern and Eastern boundaries of allotment No. 261 of said Parish of Pukeatua to the road at the North-eastern angle of said allotment No. 261, and crossing said road to its Northern side, thence continuing westerly on the Northern side of said road to its junction with the road which forms the North-eastern boundary of allotment No. 257 of the Parish of Pukeatua aforesaid, and crossing said road and continuing along the Northern side of the road which forms the South-eastern boundary of said lot No. 257, and also the Southern boundaries of allotments Nos. 256, 254, and 249, to the South-western angle of allotment No. 249 aforesaid, all of the Parish of Pukeatua aforesaid; towards the West by the Eastern side of the road which forms the Western boundary of allotment No. 249 aforesaid and allotment No. 250 of said Parish of Pukeatua, to the North-western angle of said allotment No. 250, and towards the North-west by the Southern side of the road which forms the Northern boundaries of allotments Nos. 250, 251, 252, and the North-western boundary of allotment No. 253 to the northernmost angle of said allotment No. 253, all of the Parish of Pukeatua aforesaid, thence by the Northern boundary of said allotment No. 253 to its North-eastern angle, thence in a straight line to the South-western angle of allotment No. 47 of the Parish of Waiwera, thence by the South-eastern boundaries of allotments Nos. 47, 48, and 49, of said Parish of Waiwera to the South-eastern angle of last-named lot, thence following the North-eastern boundary of allotment No. 49 aforesaid to the South-western angle of allotment No. 225 of the Parish of Waiwera aforesaid, and continuing along the North-western boundary of said allotment No. 225 to Waterloo Creek, thence by said creek to the Orewa River, the place of commencement.

BY virtue of the powers in me vested by "The Highways Act, 1867," I do hereby notify that all those portions of the Province of Auckland, hereunder described, shall be Districts under the said Act, and that such Districts shall be known by the names severally prefixed thereto, that is to say—

THE WHANGAPARAOA HIGHWAY DISTRICT.

Bounded towards the North by the Orewa River, commencing at the North-eastern angle of allotment No 146 of the Parish of Waiwera, thence by said river and the sea to the North head of the Whangaparaoa Peninsula; towards the East and South-east by the sea from the point last-named to the mouth of the Weiti River; towards the South by the Weiti River aforesaid, from its mouth to the South-western angle of allotment No. 61 of the Parish of Waiwera aforesaid; and towards the West and North-west by the Western boundary of allotment No. 61 aforesaid, the South-eastern boundaries of allotments Nos. 145 and 146.
