310 AUCKLAND PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.

PUBLIC NOTICE.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, June 27, 1870.

TENDERS will be received at this Office until noon of Wednesday, the 3rd day of August next, from persons willing to Contract for the Erection of Two Lighthouses in the Hauraki Gulf. Tenders will be required for each work separately, and must be accompanied by a deposit of Five per Cent. on the value of the Tender, which will be returned in the event of the Tender not being accepted, but will be forfeited in the event of the Tender being accepted and the Tenderer refusing to sign the Contract.

Plans, Specifications, and Forms of Tender may be seen, and further particulars obtained, at the Public Works Office, Auckland.

The lowest or any Tender will not necessarily be accepted.

Tenders to be endorsed “Tender for Lighthouse.”

DANIEL AUSTIN TOLE,
Deputy-Commissioner, Senior of Crown Lands for the Province of Auckland, by virtue of the powers in me vested by Clause 69 of “The Auckland Waste Lands Act, 1867,” do hereby delegate to the Board of Trustees of the Mangarei Highway District all the powers given and duties imposed by the Ordinance in the said Clause mentioned to or upon the Commissioner of Crown Lands or Wardens, in relation to the management of Crown Lands, within the limits of such portions of the Hundreds of Onehunga and Otahuhu as are comprised within the Mangarei Highway District.

Advertisements must be forwarded to the Superintendent’s Office at Auckland, or to the authorized Agent at Shortland or at Coromandel, with pre-payment of the charge for insertion at the rates above specified.

Advertisements should be written on one side of the paper; and names, signatures, &c., must be written in a legible hand, to save mistakes.

The number of insertions required should be written across the face of the advertisement.

The Government will not guarantee the publication of any notice or advertisement within a given date; nor will the same be inserted unless pre-paid.

SUBSCRIPTION.

The subscription is at the rate of £2 per annum, or 10s. 6d. per quarter, payable in advance.

Subscriptions are required to terminate with the quarters ending March, June, September, or December. A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for.
