HAURAKI GOLD FIELD.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
In pursuance of the 29th Section of “The Gold Fields Act, 1866,” and of the Regulations made under that Act for the granting of Leases for Gold Mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant Leases for Gold Mine purposes to the Applicants specified in the Schedule hereunder, unless valid objections can be shown against granting such Leases.
Copies of the Applications made, and Plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office, Grahamstown.

SCHEDULE.
FREDERICK CLARENCE DEAN, for the Mount Pleasant Gold Mining Company, Registered; 15 years’ lease of about 5 acres; bounded by the “Dan O’Connell,” “Golden Spur,” “Tweedside,” “Ashley,” “Pacific,” and “Murphy’s Hill” Gold Mining Companies’ ground; held under Miners’ Rights; application received in Warden’s Office, Grahamstown, at 3.35 p.m., 5th July, 1870. No. 776.
WALTER SULLY, for the Alburnia Gold Mining Company, Registered; 15 years’ lease of 4 acres, 2 roods, 3 perches; situated at Tinker’s Gully, Thames Gold Field; bounded on the North by the “Domain View;” on the South by “Alburnia” and “Rose and Shamrock;” on the East by “North Devon;” and on the West by “Cash Box” and “Rose and Shamrock;” claim formerly known as the “Alburnia and Pride of the West No. 2;” application received in Warden’s Office, Grahamstown, at 11.15 a.m., 8th July, 1870. No. 777.
CHARLES TOWILL, for the Kuranui Gold Mining Company, Registered; 15 years’ lease of about 4 acres; being the claim known as the “Golden Point” at Kuranui, also part of the “Golden Fountain” and the “Magenta;” bounded on the East by the “Mount Eden” and “Kuranui” Leases; on the North by “Kuranui No. 3;” on the West by unoccupied ground; and on the South by high water mark; application received in Warden’s Office, Grahamstown, at 10 a.m., 9th July, 1870. No. 778.
ALEXANDER BINNIE, 15 years’ lease of about 16 acres; situated on a branch of the Tararu Creek, about half a mile N.N.W. from the “Tommie Dod” claim; not held under Miners’ Rights; known as the “Vulcan Reef” claim; application received in Warden’s Office, Grahamstown, at 3 p.m. 13th July, 1870. No. 779.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
It is hereby notified that a Lease has been refused to the Applicant named in the Schedule hereunder, and that the land therein mentioned, in so far as not occupied under Miners’ Rights, is now open for occupation.
Plan may be seen at the Engineer’s Office, Grahamstown.
