PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Auckland, 8th June, 1870.

IT is hereby notified that a Lease has been refused to the Applicant named in the Schedule hereunder, and that the land therein mentioned, in so far as not occupied under Miners’ Rights, is now open for occupation.

Plan may be seen at the Engineer’s Office, Grahamstown.

SCHEDULE.

ROBERT DEIGHTON, for the Golden Bar Gold Mining Company: 15 years’ lease of about 8 acres of auriferous Quartz land; adjoining Claims known as the “United” Gold Mining Company, and “Alabama” Claim; application notified in Gazette No. 59, dated 30th August, 1869, page 869.

IT is hereby notified that the several Mining Leases set forth in the Schedule hereunder have been cancelled on account of non-execution, and that all rights, privileges, and claims in respect of the applications for the same, are deemed to have been forfeited, and that the land therein mentioned, in so far as not occupied under Miners’ Rights, is now open for occupation.

Plans may be seen at the Engineer’s Office, Grahamstown.

The Tarrenpower Gold Mining Company, Registered; applied for by John H. Salmon; 15 years’ lease of 15 acres; situate on the Shellback side of the Kuranui Range, adjoining Blizzard’s Battery, the “Perseverance” Claim, the “Undaunted,” “The Queen of Diamonds,” and the “Sailor’s Home” Claims; application notified in Gazette No. 56, dated 23rd August, 1869, page 777.

The Wild Missouri Gold Mining Company, Registered, applied for by Charles Tothill; 15 years’ lease of 4½ acres; situated at Tararu; application notified in Gazette No. 67, dated 17th September, 1869, page 1085.

The Hector Gold Mining Company, Registered, applied for by Peter Joseph Dalton; 15 years’ lease of 8 acres more or less; situate on Candlelight Spur, Waiotahi, and bounded by the “Wellington” Gold Mining Company, “Bona Vesta,” “Golconda,” and “Honour Bright;” application notified in Gazette No. 46, dated 21st July, 1869, page 615.

The Great Northern Gold Mining and Quartz Crushing Company, Registered, applied for by Alexander McKechnie; 15 years’ lease of 16½ acres; situated between the Waiotahi Creek and the Collarbone Bridge; application notified in Gazette No. 63, dated 8th September, 1869, page 980.

The Shannonside and Kerry Gold Mining Company, Registered, applied for by John Gwynneth; 15 years’ lease of 15 acres; consisting of “Friend in Need,” “Kerry,” “Shannonside,” and late “Galway” Claims, adjoining “Clare Castle” and “Golden Rose” Claims on the South, and the “Golden Nugget” Gold Mining Company on the North, Pretty Jane Spur, Karaka Block; application notified in Gazette No. 78, dated 13th October, 1869, page 1327.

RICHARD COLES JORDAN; 15 years’ lease of 10 acres; claim known as the “Alpha,” and adjoining ground, Tinkers’ Gully; application notified in Gazette No. 76, dated 7th October, 1869, page 1296.

The President Lincoln Extended Gold Mining Company, Registered, applied for by C. F. Fischer; 15 years’ lease of 5 acres, more or less; adjoining the “President Lincoln,” “Dawn of Day,” and “Rough Diamond” Claims, on the Karaka Creek; application notified in Gazette No. 64, dated 10th September, 1869, page 1015.

JAMES FERGUSON; applied for by Carl Frank Fischer; 15 years’ lease of 16 acres; bounded on the West by the “Boston,” North by the main Creek, South and East by unoccupied ground; application notified in Gazette No. 69, dated 22nd September, 1869, page 1142.

HENRY CHAMBERLIN; 15 years’ lease of 15 acres; situated at the head of Tinkers’ Gully, Tararu, and adjoining the “Star of Scotland,” “Dover Castle,” “Robin Hood,” “Calcutta,” “Dunedin,” and “Vale of Arden” Claims, and spare ground adjoining; application notified in Gazette No. 39, dated 24th June, 1869, page 504.

JOHN PETER DU MOULIN, applied for by C. F. Fischer; 15 years’ lease of 16¾ acres; on, the Karaka Creek, near the “Lucky Hit” and “President Lincoln” Claims, and bounded by the “Cosmopolitan” and “President Johnson” Claims; application notified in Gazette No. 59, dated 30th August, 1869, page 883.

JOHN PETER DU MOULIN, applied for by C. F. Fischer; 15 years’ lease of 15 acres; bounded on the North by the “Golden Crown,” on the East by a small Creek, on the South by a main Creek, and on the West by vacant ground, Puriri Block; application notified in Gazette No. 64, dated 10th September, 1869, page 1013.

JOHN PETER DU MOULIN, applied for by E. W. Brothers and C. F. Fischer; 15 years’ lease of 15 acres more or less; situated head of Hape Creek, bounded South and West by the “Ophir” Gold Mining Company; application notified in Gazette No. 64, dated 10th September, 1869, page 1014.
