IT is hereby notified that the several Applications for Mining Leases set forth in the Schedule hereunder have been abandoned, and that the land therein mentioned, in so far as not occupied under Miners’ Rights, is now open for occupation.
Plans may be seen at the Engineer’s Office, Grahamstown.

Thomas Booth and John Farrell; 15 years’ lease of 16 acres; adjoining "Cuckoo;" "Young Manukau," "Golden Crown Extended" Gold Mining Company, and "O’Keeffe’s" Lease; known as the "Diadem" Gold Mining Company’s Claim; application notified in Gazette No. 48, dated 28th July, 1869, page 687.
N. W. Massy, for the Pearl of the Waiohahi Gold Mining Company, Registered; 15 years’ lease of 8 acres, more or less; bounded by the "Ruby," "Wade," "Never-too-late-to-mend," and the "Ballimure" Claims, and the "Auckland" and "Band of Hope" Gold Mining Companies; known as the "Golden Empire," "Red, White and Blue," "Lord Palmerston," and "Spider and Fly" Claims; application notified in Gazette No. 62, dated 6th September, 1869, page 970.

Fitzgerald, for the Sir Isaac Newton Gold Mining Company; 15 years’ lease of 16 acres; situated on the Puriri Block, portion formerly called the "Wild Duck" Claim; known as the "Sir Isaac Newton" Gold Mining Company’s Claim; application notified in Gazette No. 68, dated 20th September, 1869, page 1103.
William Hibbs Lone, 15 years’ lease of 15 acres; adjoining N.E. corner peg of ground applied for under lease by Cook and Arscott; and bounded on the N.W. or W. by a line bearing 34° 45’, or thereabouts,
for a distance of nine chains, thence on the North by a line bearing 124° 45’ or thereabouts, thence on the East by a line bearing 214° 45’, or thereabouts, for a distance of nine chains, and thence by a line bearing 304° 45’ for a distance of 18 chains, to the point of commencement, and surrounded by unoccupied ground; application notified in Gazette No. 60, dated 1st September, 1869, page 907.
