RICHARD COLES JORDAN; 15 years’ lease of 16 acres; adjoining the “Ontario,” Tararu; application notified in Gazette No. 55, dated 20th August, 1869, page 758.

WILLIAM BISHOP, JAMES FOLLAS, PATRICK SHINE, and ROBERT McEWEN, applied for by William Bishop; 15 years’ lease of about 16¾ acres; on the Karaka Road, towards the North by the Karaka Creek, commencing at the “Smile of Fortune” Claim, and running 200 yards up the Creek, thence by a line over the hill in a Southerly direction 400 yards, thence Westerly 200 yards, and bounded on the West by Clayforth’s lease to starting point; application notified in Gazette No. 62, dated 6th September, 1869, page 966.

RALPH DONKIN and others, applied for by Thomas Hunter; 15 years’ lease of about 10 acres; situate on the Shellback Creek, adjoining the “Seven Pillars,” “Exchequer,” and “Queen of Diamonds” Claims, and including the “Evening Bell” and “Highland Mary” Claims; known as the “Pakeha” Claim; application notified in Gazette No. 73, dated 29th September, 1869, page 1240.

FRANZ SCHERFF; 15 years’ lease of 16 acres; about 1¼ miles from Tararu Point, fronting the beach, surrounding the “Wanganui” Claim; known as the “Wanganui” Gold Mining Company’s Claim; application notified in Gazette No. 59, dated 30th August, 1869, page 874.

WILLIAM LANG THORNTON; 15 years’ lease of about 15 acres; bounded on the East by the Creek, North by a tributary, South by the “Glencoe” Gold Mining Company, and West by a line N. and S.; known as the “Surprise” Claim; application notified in Gazette No. 76, dated 7th October, 1869, page 1290.
