IT is hereby notified that the several Applications for Mining Leases set forth in the Schedule hereunder have been abandoned, and that the land therein mentioned, in so far as not occupied under Miners’ Rights, is now open for occupation. Plans may be seen at the Engineer’s Office, Grahamstown.

Lowther Boyd, for the Nevermind Gold Mining Company, Registered; 15 years’ lease of 16 acres; situated at the boundary of Tararu and Whakatoreke Blocks, no other Claims adjoining; application notified in Gazette No. 69, dated 22nd September, 1869, page 1143.

Thomas Gillanders, for the Hero Gold Mining Company; 15 years’ lease of about 16½ acres of auriferous quartz land; adjoining the "Kauaeranga" Gold Mining Company, Hauraki Gulf, Willoughby and Mary-streets, in Shortland Township; application notified in Gazette No. 58, dated 27th August, 1869, page 848.

The Proof Positive Extended No. 2 Gold Mining Company, Registered; applied for by N. W.
