In pursuance of the powers in me vested by “The Highways Act, 1867,” I do hereby notify for general information, that I have altered and amended the boundaries of the several Highway Districts, as hereunder set forth.

The Waikomiti Highway District.

Amended Boundaries.

Bounded towards the North-east by the Whau Creek, from the South-eastern boundary of the land known as Henderson and Macfarlane’s Claim to the Whau Bridge; towards the South-east by the Great North Road, from the Whau Bridge aforesaid to the junction of the said road with the Waikomiti Road, thence by the centre of the last-named road, being the road which forms the North-western boundaries of Allotments Nos. 88, 87, 86, 85, 23sa, and 12S of the Parish of Waikomiti, and by said road continued to the North-western boundary of Allotment No. 48; thence by said boundary and by part of the North-western and the whole of the South-eastern boundary of Allotment No. 50, and by the last-named boundary produced to the North-western boundary of Allotment No. 12 of said Parish of Waikomiti; thence by part of the North-western and the whole of the South-eastern boundary of said Lot 12, and by a right line thence to the North-eastern angle of Allotment No. 77; thence by the Northern and part of the Western boundary of said Lot No. 77, part of the Eastern, the Southern, and part of the Western boundaries of Allotment No. 63, and the Southern boundaries of Allotments 64 and 65, as also the Southern and Western boundaries of Allotment 66 to the road which forms its Northern boundary, thence by the centre of said road to the Eastern boundary of Allotment No. 89; towards the South-west by the Eastern boundary last-named, a creek called Parr’s Creek, and the Southern boundary of Allotment No. 10, of the Parish of Waikomiti aforesaid to the South-eastern boundary of the land known as Henderson and Macfarlane’s Claim aforesaid; and towards the North-west by the last-named boundary to the Whau Creek, the place of commencement.

The Waitakerei South Highway District.

Amended Boundaries.

Bounded towards the North by the Northern Boundaries of the Parish of Karangahape, from the West Coast to the road, which forms the Northern boundary of Allotment 93, of the Parish of Karangahape, thence by the centre of said road, and by the centre of another road, thence to the Southern boundary of Allotment No. 10, of the Parish of Waikomiti; towards the East by the Southern boundary of Allotment No. 10 aforesaid, and a Creek known as Parr’s Creek to the Northern boundary of Allotment No. 68, thence by the Northern boundary of said Lot 68, part of the Eastern and the whole of the Southern and Western boundaries of Allotment No. 76, the Western boundary of Allotment No. 70, and part of the Eastern boundary of Allotment No. 38, all of the Parish of Waikomiti, to the Northern boundary of Allotment No. 82 of said parish, thence by the Northern and Eastern boundary of said Lot 82, the Northern boundary of Allotment No. 73, and the Northern and Western boundaries of Allotment No. 74 to Big Muddy Creek; towards the South by Big Muddy Creek aforesaid to a line, being a production of the South-eastern boundaries of Allotments Nos. 79 and 78, of the Parish of Karangahape; thence by said line and the South-eastern boundaries of Allotment No. 79 aforesaid, and the South-eastern and South-western boundaries of allotment No. 78, aforesaid to the South-eastern boundary of allotment No. 76, thence by the South-eastern boundary of last-named lot, and the South-eastern boundary of Allotment No. 75 to the North-eastern boundary of Allotment No. 72; thence by part of the North-eastern boundary of said Lot 72, and the North-eastern boundaries of Allotments Nos. 71 and 68, and the North-eastern and Eastern boundaries of Allotment 67, and the Eastern and Northern boundaries of Allotment No. 66 to the road which forms the South-eastern boundary of Allotment No. 62, to the North-eastern boundary of Allotment No. 64, thence by the Northern and Eastern boundaries of said Lot 64, and the South-eastern boundaries of Allotments Nos. 61, 58, and 57 to the sea; and towards the South-west by the sea aforesaid to the Northern boundaries of the Parish of Karangahape, the place of commencement.
