NOTICE.

LICENSES to Kill and Sell Game are now issuable at the Superintendent’s Office, Auckland.


PROCLAMATION.

By Thomas Bannatyne Gillies,
Esquire, Superintendent of the
Province of Auckland.

I, Thomas Bannatyne Gillies, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, by virtue of the powers in me vested by “The Protection of Animals Act, 1867,” and the delegation of powers to me thereunder by His Excellency the Governor,
do hereby proclaim and declare that Game shall be open to be hunted, shot, taken, or killed, within the Province of Auckland, during the months of May, June, and July, in this present year; but that Partridges and Swans, shall not be so hunted, shot, taken, or killed.

Given under my hand and seal, at Auckland, this twenty-second day of April, One thousand eight hundred and seventy.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 22nd April, 1870.

In pursuance of the 29th Section of “The Gold Fields Act 1866,” and of the Regulations made under that Act for the granting of Leases for Gold Mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a Lease for Gold Mining purposes to the Applicant specified in the Schedule hereunder, unless valid objections can be shown against granting such Lease.

Copy of the Application made, and Plan annexed, may be seen at the Wardens’ Office, Shortland.

SCHEDULE.

G. R. Alexander: 15 years’ lease of 9 acres more or less, Quartz Reef; situated on Karaka Creek; bounded on two sides by the “Lone Star;” known as the “Reformed” Gold Mining Company’s Claim; application received in Warden’s Office, Shortland, at 3.15 p.m., 14th April, 1870.


PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Province of Auckland.

In pursuance of the fourth clause of “The Highways Act, 1867,” I do hereby bring the said Act into operation within the Tamaki West Highway District, and appoint the first meeting of Electors to take place at the School-house, West Tamaki, on Monday next, the twenty-fifth day of April instant, at three o’clock in the afternoon.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, this twenty-second day of April, One thousand eight hundred and seventy.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 22nd April, 1870.

It is hereby notified that Leases have been refused to the Applicants named in the Schedule hereunder, and that the land therein mentioned, in so far as not occupied under Miners’ Rights, is now open for occupation. Plans may be seen at the Engineer’s Office, Grahamstown.
