AUCKLAND PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Esquire, Superintendent of the
Province of Auckland.

In pursuance of the fourth clause of "The High Ways Act, 1867," I do hereby bring the said Act into operation within the Mount Wellington Highway District, and appoint the first meeting of Electors to take place at the residence of John Kerr, Esq., M.G.A., Panmure, on Monday, the twenty-fifth day of April instant, at two o'clock in the afternoon.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, this thirteenth day of April, One thousand eight hundred and seventy.

Advertisements must be forwarded to the Superintendent's Office at Auckland, or to the authorized Agent at Shortland or at Coromandel, with pre-payment of the charge for insertion at the rates above specified.

Advertisements should be written on one side of the paper; and names, signatures, &c., must be written a legible hand, to save mistakes.

The number of insertions required should be written across the face of the advertisement.

The Government will not guarantee the publication of any notice or advertisement within a given date; nor will the same be inserted unless pre-paid.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

TENDERS will be received at this Office, until noon of Monday, the 25th instant, from persons willing to Contract for the Repairs of the Rewarewa Creek Bridge, Great North Road.

Plan, specification, and form of Tender may be seen, and further particulars obtained at the Public Works Office, Emily Place, Auckland.

Tenders to be endorsed "Tender for Repairs of Rewarewa Creek Bridge."

THE undersigned, Henry Mahon Jervis, hereby make application to register the "Crescent Gold Mining Company (Registered)," under the provisions of "The Mining Companies Limited Liability Act, 1865," and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief, and knowledge true in every particular, namely:--

  1. That the name and style of the Company is the "Crescent Gold Mining Company (Registered)."

  2. That the place of operations is at the Moanataiari Creek, at the Thames Gold Field, in the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

  3. That the nominal capital of the Company is Seventeen thousand five hundred Pounds (£17,500), in Three thousand five hundred shares (3,500) of Five Pounds (£5) each.

  4. That the amount paid-up is in Cash Two thousand one hundred Pounds (£2,100), and on partly paid-up shares Eleven thousand nine hundred Pounds (£11,900), being the estimated value of the Mine.

  5. That the name of the Manager is Henry Mahon Jervis.

  6. That the Office of the Company is in Fort-street, Auckland.

  7. That the names and several residences of the shareholders, and the number of shares held by each at this date, are as follows, namely:--
