It is hereby notified that the Offices of the Provincial Government will be closed on Friday, Saturday, and Monday next, the 15th, 16th, and 18th instant.

PROCLAMATION.

By Thomas Bannatyne Gillies,
Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

Under and in pursuance of the powers and authority in me vested by the provisions of "The Marine Act, 1867," I do hereby define the limits and boundaries, for the purposes of the said recited Act, of the undermentioned wharf: that is to say—

TIRE DEVONPORT WHARF, NORTH SHORE.

Bounded on the North-west by the Beach Road, at its junction with the Lake Road, and by land between high and low water mark; and on the South-east, South-west, and North-east, by the waters of the Waitemata Harbour.

Given at Auckland under my hand, and the Public Seal of the said Province, this sixth day of April, One thousand eight hundred and seventy.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By Thomas Bannatyne Gillies,
Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

Under and in pursuance of the powers and authority vested in me by the provisions of "The Marine Act, 1867," I do hereby impose and levy the following rates, dues, and charges, for the use of the Devonport Wharf, North Shore, and for the landing of goods, wares, and merchandise thereat and thereon: that is to say—

  1. For Steam Ferry Boats ... £4 10s. 0d. per quarter, payable in advance.

  2. For Cargo Boats, and other Sailing Vessels, not exceeding 20 tons register, discharging light goods only ... 3d. per ton

  3. For Goods run upon the Wharf to or fro ... 3d. per truck

And I do hereby further appoint Mr. Oliver Mair, of the North Shore, to be Piermaster for the said Wharf.

Given under my hand at Auckland, this sixth day of April, One thousand eight hundred and seventy.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 12th April, 1870.

In pursuance of the 29th Section of "The Gold Fields Act 1866," and of the Regulations made under that Act for the granting of Leases for Gold Mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant Leases for Gold Mining purposes to the Applicants specified in the Schedule hereunder, unless valid objections can be shown against granting such Leases.

Copies of the Applications made, and Plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office, Shortland.
