AUCKLAND PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.

Plan of the following may be seen at the Engineer’s Office, Coromandel.

WILLIAM HILL, for the Haratunga Gold Mining Company, 15 years’ lease of 10 acres; situate on the dividing spur between the Waikawau Creek, and a creek running into the same on the Easter side, the Great Western Prospecting claim, and unoccupied land adjoining, situate in Kennedy’s Bay, application notified in Gazette No. 8, dated 31st January 1870, page 67; withdrawn 4th March, 1870.


PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 18th March, 1870.

IN pursuance of the 29th section of “The Gold-fields Act 1866,” and of the Regulations made under that Act for the granting of Leases for Gold mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a Lease for Gold Mining purposes to the Applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless valid objections can be shown against granting such Lease.

Objections to granting the following application, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Wardens, at Shortland, within the time prescribed by the aforesaid Regulations.

Copy of the application made, and plan annexed, may be seen at the Wardens’ Office, Shortland.

SCHEDULE.

WALTER SULLY, for the Shamrock Gold Mining Company, (Registered); 15 years’ lease of 5 acres more or less, bounded on the North by the “Ballarat” and “Rising Sun” and “Princess Alice,” on the South by Ballarat and Rising Sun and Ruby claims, on the East by the “Red White and Blue” claim, and on the West by the Half Moon Company, and situate on the East side of the Waitahi Creek; held under Miners’ Rights. Application received in Wardens’ Office, Shortland, at 11.30 a.m., 5th March, 1870.

THE undersigned CHARLES EDWARD HAUGHTON, hereby make application to Register the “Harp and Shamrock Gold Mining Company (Registered),” under the provisions of the “Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act, 1865,” and the “Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act Amendment Act, 1869,” and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely:—

  1. The name and style of the Company is the “Harp and Shamrock Gold Mining Company (Registered).”

  2. The place of operations is at the Tokatea Range, Coromandel, Thames Goldfield, in the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

  3. The nominal capital of the Company is Twenty-five thousand Pounds, in Twelve thousand five hundred Shares of Two Pounds each.

  4. The amount already paid-up in Cash is Nil; and Eighteen thousand seven hundred and sixty Pounds, being the estimated value of the Mine.

  5. The name of the Manager is CHARLES EDWARD HAUGHTON.

  6. The office of the Company is at Grahamstown.

  7. The names and several residences of the shareholders, and the number of shares held by each at this date, are as follows, namely:—

  1. The name and style of the Company is “The Lord of the Isles Gold Mining Company (Registered).”

  2. The place of operations is at Tararu Creek, at the Thames Goldfield, in the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

  3. The nominal capital of the Company is Eight Thousand Pounds.

  4. The amount paid up is Two Thousand One Hundred and Seventy-five Pounds in scrip allotted to the shareholders as the present value of the Mine; nothing paid up in cash.

  5. The name of the Manager is CHARLES FREDERICK HOLMES.

  6. The office of the Company is in Grahamstown.

  7. The names and several residences of the shareholders are not provided in this document.
