1865,” and “The Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act Amendment Act, 1869,” and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my knowledge and belief, true in every particular, namely:—

  1. That the name and style of the Company is the “Newmarket Gold Mining Company (Registered).”

  2. That the place of operations is at the Moanataiari Creek, at the Thames Gold Fields, in the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

  3. That the nominal capital of the Company is Six thousand (6,000) Pounds, in Six thousand (6,000) Shares of One Pound (£1) each.

  4. The amount already paid up in cash is Nil; in partly paid up shares allotted to the undermentioned shareholders, and reserved by the Company, as the estimated value of the mine, the sum of Five thousand four hundred Pounds (£5,400).

  5. The name of the Manager is Richard Laishley, junior.

  6. The Office of the Company is at Pollen-street, Shortland.

  7. The names and several residences of the shareholders, and the number of shares held by each at this date, are as follow, namely:—

  1. The name and style of the Company is the “Mount Pleasant Gold Mining Company (Registered).”

  2. The place of operations is at Hape Creek, near Shortland, at the Thames Gold Field, in the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

I, THE undersigned, David Philp, hereby make application to register the “Valentine Lease Gold Mining Company (Registered),” under the provisions of “The Mining Companies Limited Liability Act, 1865,” and “The Mining Companies Limited Liability Act Amendment Act, 1869;” and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely:—

  1. The name and style of the Company is the “Valentine Lease Gold Mining Company (Registered).”

  2. The place of operations is at the Shellback Creek, Karaka Block, at the Thames Gold Field, in the Province of Auckland, in the colony of New Zealand.

  3. The nominal capital of the Company is £19,800, in 7,520 shares of £2 10s. each.

  4. The amount paid up is £15,290 18s. 4d., in paid up shares; and in cash, Nil.
