For each ton of firewood, goods, or merchandise, not specially mentioned ... 6d.

but no charge shall be made for children under 14 years of age going to or returning from school, or for militiamen on duty.

  1. The boats or punts used in such ferries shall (weather permitting) ply, on demand, between the hours of 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily and at other times, on payment of double charges.

  2. No ferry-man shall allow any boat or punt to be overloaded. In crossing any ferry, foot passengers shall have precedence of horses, cattle, or goods, and passengers on horseback, or in vehicles, shall have precedence of cattle or goods.

I THE undersigned, J. C. Morphett,
hereby make application to register the "CENTRAL STAR GOLD MINING COMPANY (REGISTERED)" under the provisions of "The Mining Companies' Limited Liability Act, 1865"; and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely:—

  1. The name and style of the Company is "The Central Star Gold Mining Company, (Registered)."

  2. The place of operations is at the Karaka Creek, at the Thames Goldfield, in the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

  3. The nominal capital of the Company is Eight thousand Pounds, in Three thousand two hundred shares of Two pounds ten shillings each.

  4. The amount already paid up is Six thousand four hundred Pounds, being the estimated value of the mine.

  5. The name of the Manager is John Cummins Morphett.

  6. The Office of the Company is at Grahamstown.

  7. The names and several residences of the shareholders, and the number of shares held by each at this date, are as follow, namely:—

  3. The nominal Capital of the Company is Six thousand Pounds, in Twenty-four hundred Shares of Two Pounds Ten shillings each.

  4. The amount already paid up is Four thousand eight hundred Pounds, being the estimated value of the mine.

  5. The name of the Manager is John Cummins Morphett.

  6. The Office of the Company is at Grahamstown.
