Auckland, 5th February, 1869.

IT is hereby notified that a Writ issued by me for the election of two Members of the Auckland Provincial Council for the Electoral District of the Thames Gold Field, has been returned to me with a certificate endorsed thereon to the effect that

John Butt, of Shortland, holder of Business License and Miner’s Right; and

Daniel Groves, of Tapu Creek, Hastings, holder of Miner’s Right,
have been duly elected.

IN pursuance of the sixth clause of “The Slaughter House Act, 1866,” it is hereby notified, for general information, that application has been made to the Superintendent by

Mr. James Kilgour,

for the renewal of the Private Slaughter-house License to his premises on the Panmure Road.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Wellington, 12th January, 1869.

THE attention of Keepers of Public Asylums and Licensed Houses, of all Committees or Managers of Hospitals under “The Lunatics Act, 1868,” of every Inspector and Official Visitor, and of every Justice of the Peace, is directed to the 149th section of the above Act, and to their duties thereunder.

  1. It shall be the duty of every Keeper of a Public Asylum and of a licensed house and of all committees or managers of hospitals under this Act and they are hereby required to forward to the Registrar of the Supreme Court for the district within which such asylum licensed house or hospital shall be situate within one month after the coming into operation of this Act a true list of the names of all persons detained as patients in such establishments respectively together with a true and particular account so far as the same is known or can be ascertained of the property
