PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By EVERY MACLEAN, Esquire,
Deputy-Superintendent of the
Province of Auckland.

BY virtue of the powers in the Superin-
tendent vested by the fourteenth sec-
tion of "The Common Schools Act, 1869,"
I do hereby notify that that portion of the
Province of Auckland, comprised within the
boundaries hereunder described, shall be an
Educational District under the said Act,
and that such District shall be known by the
name of—

THE TAPU EDUCATIONAL DISTRICT.

Bounded towards the North, East, and
South, by that part of the circumference of
a circle, having a radius of two miles from
the Government Wharf at Hastings, which
commences on the North at the Hauraki
Gulf, and ends on the South at the Hauraki
Gulf aforesaid; and on the West by the
Hauraki Gulf.

And I do hereby appoint a Meeting of the
resident occupiers of land and householders
to take place at the Duke of Edinburgh
Hotel, Hastings, on Wednesday the twenty-
third day of June instant, at seven o’clock in
the afternoon, to appoint a Chairman, elect
a School Committee, and for the other pur-
poses set forth in the fourteenth section of
the said Act.

IN pursuance of the Quarantine Regulations
in force within the Colony of New
Zealand, I do hereby nominate and appoint
FREDERICK EDWARD MANING, Esq., J.P.,
of Hokianga, to be a Member of the Board
of Health for the Port of Hokianga.

Province of Auckland.

IN pursuance of the power in the Super-
intendent vested by the fourth clause
of "The Highways Act, 1867," I do hereby
bring the said Act into operation within the
District of ARAMIRO SOUTH, and appoint the
First Meeting of the Electors to take place
at the residence of Mr. Good, Waikoukou,
on Wednesday, the twenty-third day of
June, instant, at two o'clock in the after-
noon.

The following Act, passed by the Provin-
cial Council, and assented to by the Superin-
tendent of the Province of Auckland,
intituled,
"THE NORTH SHORE RESERVES ACT, 1869,"
having been laid before the Governor, His
Excellency has not been advised to exercise
his power of disallowance in respect of it.

I, THE undersigned, NATHANIEL WILLIAM
MASSEY, hereby make application to
Register the "SUCCESS GOLD MINING COMPANY
(Registered)," under the provisions of "The
Mining Companies' Limited Liability Act,
1865," and I do solemnly and sincerely declare
that the following statement is, to the best of
my knowledge and belief, true in every par-
ticular, namely:—

  1. That the name and style of the Company
    is the "Success Gold-mining Company (Regis-
    tered)."

  2. That the place of operations is at the
    Moanataiari Creek, at the Thames Goldfield,
    in the Province of Auckland, in the Colony
    of New Zealand.

  3. That the nominal capital of the Com-
    pany is thirteen thousand Pounds, in one
    thousand three hundred shares of ten Pounds
    each.

  4. That the amount paid up is ten thousand
    four hundred Pounds.

  5. That the name of the manager is Natha-
    niel William Massey.
