PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Auckland, January 8, 1869.

IT is hereby notified for general information that all Surveys of Ground applied for under the Mining Leases Regulations must be made by the Chief Engineer, or by a surveyor acting under his instructions.

All Surveys of Machine Sites, applied for under the Goldfields Rules and Regulations, must be made in the same way as the Mining Leases; and a uniform fee of £5 will be charged by the Government for the survey and report.

It will be necessary, in all applications for Water Rights, for the Chief Engineer or one of his assistants to inspect and report upon the same, for which a fee of £1 1s. will be charged in each case.

All Surveys required to be made by the Wardens under Section 76 of the Goldfields Act, 1866, will be made by the Chief Engineer, or some surveyor acting under his instructions, the fee being £5 5s. in every case.

All applications for Residence Sites must be reported upon, and the site examined, by the Chief Engineer or one of his staff; and for such examination and report a fee of 10s. 6d. will be charged.

HEREBY notify that all that piece or parcel of land mentioned in the Schedule hereunder written will, on Tuesday, the 26th day of February, 1869, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, be offered for lease by public auction, by Messrs. Cochrane and Son, at their Auction Mart, Fort-street, Auckland.
