PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

In pursuance of the powers in me vested by the third section of "The Highways Act, 1867," I do hereby notify, for general information, that I have altered and amended the boundaries of the Pukekohe District, as hereunder set forth.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

In pursuance of the power in me vested by the fourth section of "The Highways Act, 1867," I do hereby bring the said Act into operation in the District of the North Shore, and appoint the first meeting of the electors to take place at the residence of Mr. Smith, at Stokes’ Point, on Monday, the sixteenth day of March, inst., at twelve o’clock, noon.

In pursuance of the powers in me vested by the forty-second section of "The Highways Act, 1867," I do hereby delegate unto the Highway Trustees of the Wairoa District the powers and authority vested in me as Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, by the fourth, fifth, and ninth sections of "The Thistle Act, 1858."

Given under my hand, at Auckland, this twenty-fourth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.

PUKEKOHE DISTRICT.

(Former boundaries detailed in Gazette No. 44, Vol. xvi, folio 407.)

Amended Boundaries.

Bounded on the north by the middle of the Waiuku Road from the western boundary of the Parish of Karaka, to the Great South Road; on the east by the Great South Road aforesaid, to the Waikato river; on the south by the Waikato river aforesaid, to the eastern boundary of Cameron Town; and on the west by the eastern boundary of Cameron town aforesaid, and part of the eastern boundary of a grant to John Williamson, Esquire, and the north-western boundary of allotment No. 44 to allotment No. 74, being a native reserve, thence by the western boundaries of the aforesaid native reserve, and allotments Nos. 60 and 89, to the point of commencement.
