I HEREBY notify that the Chairman of
the First Meeting of the Electors
of the Arai District has, in accordance
with the provisions of “The Highways Act,
1867,” presented to me, in writing, the names
of the undermentioned gentlemen, elected
Highway Trustees for that District:—

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
In pursuance of the powers in me vested by
the third section of “The Highways Act,
1867,” I do hereby notify that that portion of the Province of Auckland here-
under described shall be a District under the
said Act, and that such District shall be
known by the name thereto prefixed, that is to
say—
The Arai District.
Bounded on the north by part of the
southern boundary of the parish of Manga-
wai from Papawai to point Arai; on the
north-east by the sea from point Arai afore-
said to the south-eastern boundary of the
Arai block; on the south-east by the south-
eastern boundary of the parish of Arai to
the eastern boundary of the Oruawharo
block; and on the west by the eastern
boundary of the Oruawharo block (north)
aforesaid, to the point of commencement.

this nineteenth day of February,
one thousand eight hundred and
sixty-eight.

the third section of “The Highways Act,
1867,” I do hereby notify, for general infor-
mation, that I have altered and amended the
boundaries of the Pakiri District, as here-
under set forth.
Given under my hand, at Auckland,
this nineteenth day of February,
one thousand eight hundred and
sixty-eight.

Amended Boundaries.
Bounded on the north-east by the sea from
the south-eastern boundary of the Arai
block to the south head of the Pakiri river;
on the south-east by the western boundary
of the Omaha Highway District, and the
south-eastern boundary of the parish of
Pakiri; on the south-west by the north-
eastern boundary of the Tauhoa block; and
on the north-west by the south-eastern
boundaries of the parishes of Oruawharo
and Arai, to the point of commencement.

the third day of March proximo, at eleven
o’clock in the forenoon.
