PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Auckland, 10th February, 1868.

HEREBY notify that the Chairman of the Board of Highway Trustees for the Wairoa District has informed me that Mr. Henry Worthington, of Waiau, has been appointed Secretary to the Board, and Rate Collector for the District.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

In pursuance of the powers in me vested by the third section of "The Highways Act, 1867," I do hereby notify, for general information, that I have altered and amended the boundaries of the Wairoa District, as hereunder set forth.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, this fifth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.

Wairoa District.

(Former boundaries detailed in Gazette No. 44, vol xvi. fol. 406, 1867.)

Amended Boundaries.

Bounded on the north-east by the south-western boundary of lot 58 of the parish of Wairoa, from the native reserve which forms its northern boundary to the Wairoa river, thence by the said river and a small creek to the north-eastern boundary of lot 1 of the Parish of Taupo, thence by the north-eastern boundaries of lots 1 and 8, and the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of lot 6, and the south-eastern boundary of lot 9, all of the parish of Taupo to the Wairoa river, thence by the said river to the north-western boundary of lot 112, of the parish of Hunua; on the south-east by the north-western boundaries of lot 112 aforesaid, and lots 174, 178, 133 and 186 of the parish of Hunua; on the south-west by the south-western boundaries of lots 185, 78 and 22 of the parish of Hunua to Hewlin’s line; on the south by Hewlin’s line and by the eastern and southern boundaries of lot 31 of the parish of Hunua, and by the southern boundaries of lots 29, 28 and 27 of the parish of Hunua, and the eastern and southern boundaries of lot 3 of the parish of Opakehe to the Wairoa and Papakura road, thence by the middle of that road to the Great South Road; on the west by the middle of the Great South Road as far northward as a point on it being the production of the road between lots 26 and 88 of the parish of Papakura; on the north by a line from the point last described to the road between lots 26 and 83 aforesaid, and thence by the middle of that road as far eastward as lot 29 of the parish of Papakura, thence by the south-eastern boundary of lot 29, the south and south-eastern boundaries of lot 89, and the south-eastern boundary of lot 58, all of the parish of Papakura; again on the west by the dividing line of the parishes of Papakura and Wairoa, and on the north-west by the north-west boundary of the parish of Wairoa to the native reserve, which forms the northern boundary of lot 46, of the parish of Maraetai, and by the southern boundary of the said native reserve to the point of commencement.

Awitu District.

(Former boundaries detailed in Gazette No. 44, vol. xvi., folio 410, 1867.)

Amended Boundaries.

Bounded on the north and north-east by the Manukau harbour, from the south head of said harbour to the south-eastern angle of the Pollock Special Settlement; on the south-east by part of the south-eastern boundary of the Pollock Special Settlement aforesaid, the eastern boundary of lot No. 80, and the road which forms the northern boundary of lots Nos. 104, 106, 109, 108, and 102, all of the parish of Awitu, to the west coast; on the south-west by the sea coast aforesaid to the south head of Manukau harbour, the point of commencement.
