PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Deputy Superintendent of the
Province of Auckland.
In pursuance of the powers vested in the Superintendent by the third clause of "The Highways Act, 1867," I do hereby notify, for general information, that I have altered and amended the boundaries of the Newcastle District under the said Act, as hereunder set forth.
Given under my hand, at Auckland, this thirty-first day of October, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.

(Former boundaries detailed in Gazette, No. 44, vol. 16, folio 415, 1867.)
Amended Boundaries.
Bounded on the north by the southern boundary of allotment No. 15 of the Parish of Pepepe and by the Tutaikorea Creek to the Waikato River; on the north-east by the centre of the Waikato River from the Tutaikorea Creek aforesaid, to the north-western boundary of the parish of Pukete; on the south-east by the north-western boundary of the parish of Pukete aforesaid, from the Waikato River aforesaid, to the southern boundary of allotment No. 69 of the parish of Horotiu, thence by said southern boundary and by the southern boundaries of allotments Nos. 38, 60, 61, 62, and 64, all of the parish of Horotiu aforesaid, to the Waipa River; and on the west by the Waipa River aforesaid, to the road near the mouth of the Timaru or Blue Nose Creek, thence westward by said road for a distance of about 88 chains, thence by a right line bearing due north to the Hakarimata range, thence by said range and by a right line bearing north-east to the south-western boundary of allotment No. 15 of the parish Pepepe the point of commencement.

HEREBY notify that the Chairman of the Annual Meeting of the Electors of the Paraoa District has, in accordance with the provisions of "The Highways Act, 1867," presented to me, in writing, the names of the undermentioned gentlemen, elected Highway Trustees for that District:—
