of Auckland, commencing on the north at the boundary of the Tararu block, thence by Shortland range to the Karaka Stream, thence by that stream to the sea, thence by the sea coast to the point of commencement.
Whitson’s Brewery Road aforesaid, to the Epsom Road; towards the east by the centre of the Epsom Road aforesaid, from Whitson’s Brewery Road to the south-eastern angle of allotment No. 16 of section No. 6 of the suburbs of Auckland; towards the south by the southern boundary of allotment No. 16 aforesaid, and by the road which forms the southern boundaries of allotments Nos. 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29 of the section and suburbs last mentioned; and towards the West by the centre of the road which forms the western boundary of allotment No. 29 aforesaid, and being known as the Mount Eden Stockade Road, to its junction with the Kyber Pass Road, thence westerly by the centre of the Kyber Pass Road to the south-eastern angle of allotment No. 4 of section No. 6 of the suburbs aforesaid, thence by the eastern boundary of said allotment No. 4, thence crossing a road one hundred links wide, to the south-eastern angle of allotment No. 22 of section No. 3 of the suburbs of Auckland aforesaid, and by the eastern boundary of said allotment No 22, and by same boundary produced to the Northern side of Park Road, the point of commencement.

UNDER and in pursuance of the power vested in the Superintendent by the fourth clause of “The Auckland Municipal Police Act, 1866,” I do hereby appoint THE WAIKATO HIGHWAY TRUSTEES, and their successors in office, to be the “local authority” referred to in the said Act, for the Town of GRAHAM’S Town.

BY virtue of the powers in the Superintendent vested by the third section of “The Highways Act, 1867,” I do hereby notify that all that portion of the Province of Auckland, comprised within the boundaries hereunder described, shall be a District for the purposes of the said Act, and that such District shall be known by the name thereto prefixed, that is to say—
THE NEWMARKET DISTRICT,
Bounded towards the north by the Northern side of the road (known as Park Road) which forms the northern boundaries of allotments Nos. 23 and 24, and the north-eastern boundary of allotment No. 25, all of section No. 8 of the suburbs of Auckland, to the road which forms the northern boundaries of allotments Nos. 31, 32, 33, and 34 of said section and suburbs last named, thence by the Northern side of the road last described, to the road which forms the north-western boundary of allotment No. 25, also of the section and suburbs before mentioned, thence by the Northern side of said road, to the road known as Whitson’s Brewery Road, and thence by the Northern side of Whitson’s Brewery Road aforesaid, to the western boundary of the Parnell Highway District; and from said boundary, by the centre of Whitson’s Brewery Road aforesaid, to the western boundary of the said Highway District.
