PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 28th July, 1868.

HEREBY notify, for general information,
that a Writ, issued by the Superintendent
on the twenty-second day of June, 1868, for the election of a member of the
Provincial Council, for the Electoral District
of Marsden, has been returned with an
endorsement thereon as follows:—

“I, Harcourt Richard Aubrey, the Return-
ing Officer for the Electoral District of
Marsden, do hereby declare that, in pursu-
ance of the Writ to me directed, bearing
date the twenty-second day of June, 1868,
the undernominated Candidate is duly
elected a Member of the Provincial Council
for the said District.

Dated this twenty-first day of July,
1868.

IN pursuance of the power in the Super-
intendent vested by the fourth section
of “The Highways Act, 1867,” I do hereby
bring the said Act into operation within the
Province of Auckland.
