NOTICE is hereby given that William
Leys of Franklin-street, Freeman’s Bay, Auckland, and John Gumner of Maungaturoto, have been appointed Collectors of Rates for the Highway Board of the above-named District.

I THE undersigned, John Henry Smith, hereby make application to register the Hape Gold Mining Company, Registered, under the provisions of “The Mining Companies Limited Liability Act, 1866,” and I do solemnly and sincerely declare, that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely:

  1. The name and style of the Company is the Hape Gold Mining Company Registered.

  2. The place of operations is at the Hape Creek, Thames Gold Fields.

  3. The nominal capital of the Company is Two thousand one hundred pounds, (£2,100) in two hundred and ten shares of ten pounds (£10) each.

  4. The amount already paid up, is One thousand four hundred pounds, (£1,400).

  5. The name of the Manager is John Henry Smith.

  6. The Office of the Company is in Lower Queen-street, Auckland.

  7. The names and several residences of the Shareholders, and the number of Shares held by each at this date, are as follows:
