PROCLAMATION.

By John Williamson, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

WHEREAS by "The Superintendent’s Deputy Act, 1866," of the General Assembly, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent of any Province, by proclamation, to be published in the Government Gazette of such Province, to appoint such person as he may think fit, being an inhabitant of such Province, and being registered as an elector on the electoral roll of some electoral district within such Province, to be his Deputy, and as such to do, perform, and exercise all the acts, powers, and authorities which may be done, performed, or exercised by such Superintendent, or such of them only as shall be specified in such proclamation:

Now therefore I, John Williamson, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, do hereby appoint

EVERY MACLEAN, Esq., J.P., M.P.C.,

to be my Deputy in the said Province, and as such to do, perform, and exercise all the acts, powers, and authorities which may be done, performed, and exercised by the said Deputy Superintendent, under the authority of the said before recited "Superintendent’s Deputy Act, 1866."

Given under my hand, at Auckland, this third day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.

PROCLAMATION.

By John Williamson, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

WHEREAS by an Act made and passed during the twenty-third session of the Auckland Provincial Council, entitled "The Sick and Destitute Act, 1868," it is among other things enacted that the before recited Act shall come into operation at such time as the Superintendent shall proclaim the same to come into force, in the Provincial Government Gazette:

Now, therefore, I, John Williamson, the Superintendent aforesaid, in pursuance of the powers and authority enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the said before recited Act, namely "The Sick and Destitute Act, 1868," shall be and become in operation within the Province of Auckland, from and after the date hereof.

Given under my hand, at Auckland this third day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.
