PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Auckland, 8th June, 1868.
I HEREBY notify for general information, that a Writ, issued by me on the thirtieth day of May, 1868, for the election of a Member of the Provincial Council for the Electoral District of Auckland City West, has been returned with an endorsement thereon as follows:—
"I, Henry Colin Balneavis, the Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Auckland City West, do hereby declare, that in pursuance of the Writ to me directed,
"hearing date the thirtieth day of May, 1868, the undermentioned Candidate is duly elected a Member of the Provincial Council for the said District.
"Dated this eighth day of June, 1868.
