We do farther award adjudge and direct and determine in terms of the said Act that the Governor do pay the costs of the Arbitration which we lay and assess at the sum of Three hundred and eighty pounds And we do direct that if the said James Busby do in the first instance pay the said amount of the said costs the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand shall forthwith repay the same to the said James Busby.

Lastly we direct that the land scrip to be issued in terms of the said recited Act shall be in the form set forth in the Schedule hereunder

Government Scrip.

Issued under the Act of the General Assembly intituled "The Land Claims Arbitration Act, 1867."

Number Fifty Pounds £50.
This Scrip shall be received in payment for any Lands to be selected by James Busby of Waitangi, in the Province of Auckland out of any Lands open for sale or selection under the provisions of the laws for the time being in force within the said Province relating to the disposal of Waste Lands of the Crown.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By John Williamson, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

Whereas, by a notification bearing date the sixteenth day of March last, I, John Williamson, the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, acting in pursuance of the powers in me vested by the third section of "The Highways Act, 1867," did notify for general information, that I had altered and amended both the name and the boundaries of the Matakana District (West) under the said Act: And whereas, by a notification bearing the same date, I did, under the same powers, create a new Highways District, namely, the Matakana East District: And whereas it is expedient that the names and boundaries of these Districts should be again altered and amended;

Now, therefore, I, John Williamson, the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, acting in pursuance of the powers before quoted, do hereby declare, that from and after this date the two Districts herein above-named, that is to say—the Matakana West and Matakana East Districts, shall be and become one District under the said Act, to be known as the Matakana District.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, this fifth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Waikato Land.

Under and in pursuance of the powers vested in me as the Commissioner appointed by His Excellency the Governor, to carry out the Regulations for the Sale of Lands taken for settlement under "The New Zealand Settlements Act, 1863," in the Province of Auckland, I do hereby notify that the Lands specified in the Schedule hereunder written will be offered for Sale, as Special Rural Land, in accordance with the said Regulations, at the Waste Lands Office, at Auckland, on Thursday, the 11th day of June, 1868.
