By virtue of the powers in me vested by the forty-second section of "The Highways Act, 1867," I do hereby delegate, unto the Highway Trustees of the Maketu District, the powers and authority vested in me, as Superintendent, by the fourth, fifth, and ninth sections of "The Thistle Act, 1858."

Given under my hand, at Auckland, this fifteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.
