PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By DANIEL POLLEN Esquire, Deputy Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

BY virtue of the powers vested in the Superintendent, by the third section of “The Highways Act, 1867,” I do hereby notify, that the portion of the Province of Auckland, comprised within the boundaries hereunder described, shall be a District under the said Act, and that such District shall be known by the name thereto prefixed, that is to say:—

THE RUATANGATA DISTRICT,

bounded on the North East by the Mangahahuru River and the South-Western boundaries of the Kaurihohore and Kamo blocks and the Western boundary of Muir’s Grant to the Whau Whau block; on the South by the Northern and Western boundary of the Whau Whau block aforesaid to its Westernmost angle, thence in a direct line to the South-Eastern angle of the Maruarua block, and by the Southern boundary of the Maruarua block aforesaid and the Southern boundaries of the Mirowhakatiki and Ruatangata blocks to the Wairua River; and on the North-West by the Wairua River aforesaid to the points of commencement.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, this twenty-fourth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By DANIEL POLLEN, Esq., Deputy Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

IN pursuance of the power vested in the Superintendent by the fourth section of “The Highways Act, 1867,” I do hereby bring the said Act into operation in the District of Ruatangata, and appoint the first meeting of the electors to take place at the residence of Mr. F. Street, Ruatangata, on Tuesday, the first day of October next, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon.

Given under my hand at Auckland, this twenty-fourth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and sixty seven.

THE Chairman of the Board of Highway Trustees for the District of Paparoa, Kaipara, desires it to be notified for public information, that

MR. JAMES SECTOR

has been appointed to be Secretary and Rate Collector for the above District.
