I HEREBY notify that the Chairman of the Annual Meeting of the Electors of the Whaingaroa District, has, in accordance with the provisions of the “Highways Act, 1862,” presented to me in writing, the names of the undermentioned gentlemen, elected Highway Trustees for the District:—

I, FREDERICK WHITAKER, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, by virtue of the powers in me vested by the “Howick Park Act, 1866,” do hereby nominate and appoint Ponsonby Peacocke, Paul Frederick De Quincey, Every Maclean, Edward M. Tabuteau, George White, Richard N. Barry, and Anthony Conlon, all of Howick, in the Province of Auckland, to be a Board, for the control and management of the piece of land in the said Act mentioned.
Given under my hand this nineteenth day of January, 1867.

RULES AND REGULATIONS OF WAIKATO FERRIES.
I, FREDERICK WHITAKER, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, do hereby make the following Rules and Regulations for and in respect of the public Ferries on the Waikato River, including the Horotiu and Waipa branches thereof.

The following charges or fees, and no more, shall be taken from persons crossing the ferry at Ngaruawahia:—
For each Passenger ... 1d.
„ Horse, Mule, or head of neat Cattle ... 6d.
„ Sheep, Pig, or Goat ... 1d.
„ Dray, Cart, Carriage, or other wheeled Vehicle ... 6d.
„ Load of Hay or Straw ... 3d.
„ Single Bag or Package of Merchandise ... 1d.
„ Ton of Firewood, Goods, or Merchandise, not specially mentioned ... 3s.
