I HEREBY notify that the Chairman of the Annual Meeting of the Electors of the Paparoa Highway District, has, in accordance with the Provisions of the “Highways Act, 1862,” presented to me, in writing, the names of the undermentioned gentlemen, elected Highway Trustees for the District:—

IT is hereby notified, that under and in pursuance of the powers vested in the Superintendent by virtue of the eighth section of “The Protection of Certain Animals Act Amendment Act, 1866,” the following persons have been appointed Rangers under the said Act, in addition to those whose names have been already published.

I HEREBY notify for general information, that a Writ issued by me on the thirtieth day of April, 1867, for the election of a Member of the Provincial Council for the Electoral District of the Town of Onehunga, has been returned with an endorsement thereon as follows:—

“I, John Jermyn Symonds, the Returning Officer for the Electoral District of the Town of Onehunga, do hereby declare that in pursuance of the Writ to me directed, bearing date the thirtieth day of April, 1867, the undermentioned Candidate is duly elected a Member of the Provincial Council for the Province of Auckland for the said District.

Dated this fifteenth day of May, 1867.

TENDERS INVITED.

Superintendent’s Office,

TENDERS will be received at this office until noon of Wednesday, the 12th day of June prox., for furnishing the Provincial Government with the undermentioned supplies, in such quantities as may be required, during the six months commencing the 1st July, 1867, upon the conditions hereinafter specified.

Separate tenders to be sent in for each services. Information may be obtained at this Office.


FIREWOOD—TEA TREE.

Of the usual lengths.

Lengths, cut and split to suit office fireplaces.


COALS.

Tenders to state the price per ton at which firewood and coals will be delivered at the Hospital, the Lunatic Asylum, Stockade, (Mount Eden,) and the several public offices.
