Auckland, 12th November, 1866.

I HEREBY notify for general information, that a Writ, issued by me on the twentieth day of October, 1866, for the election of a Member of the Provincial Council for the East Ward, City of Auckland, has been returned with an endorsement thereon as follows:—

"I, Henry Colin Balneavis, the Returning Officer for the Electoral District of the City of Auckland, do hereby declare that in pursuance of the writ to me directed, bearing date the twentieth day of October, 1866, the undermentioned Candidate is duly elected a Member of the Provincial Council of the Province of Auckland, for the said District.

Dated this tenth day of November, 1866.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in the Superintendent in that behalf, I hereby notify for public information, that all those pieces or parcels of land enumerated in the schedule hereunder written, will be offered for sale at the Waste Lands Office, Auckland, on the 18th day of December, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six, as General Country Land, at the hour of twelve o’clock noon.

Given under my hand at Auckland, in the said Province, this 12th day of November, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six.
