has this day resigned his seat as a Member of the Provincial Executive Council.

HEREBY notify for general information,
that a Writ, issued by me on the twenty-seventh day of October, 1866, for the election of a Member of the Provincial Council for the Electoral District of the Pensioner Settlements, has been returned with an endorsement thereon as follows:—
"I, John Jermyn Symonds, the Returning Officer for the Electoral District of the Pensioner Settlements, do hereby declare that in pursuance of the writ to me directed, bearing date the twenty-seventh day of October, 1866, the undermentioned Candidate is duly elected a Member of the Provincial Council of the Province of Auckland for the said District.

NOTICE is hereby given that all persons claiming a right to vote at the election of the Board of Trustees for the “Flag Staff District,” under the “Highways Act, 1862,” are to send in their claims to Mr. Oliver Mays, on or before the 15th day of December next, and that such claims must be in the statutory form, which can be obtained on application to Mr. Mays.
