PROCLAMATION.

By DANIEL POLLEN, Esq., Deputy of the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

WHEREAS a building has been erected in the Monmouth Redoubt, Te Papa, Tauranga, and is now ready for the reception of Prisoners,

Now, therefore, I, the said Daniel Pollen under and in pursuance of the power in the Superintendent vested in that behalf, do hereby declare and proclaim that the said building shall henceforth be a Public Lock-up and Gaol.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, the sixth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six.

TENDERS INVITED.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, August 6, 1866.

TENDERS will be received at this Office, until noon of Tuesday, the 21st inst., for the supply of Rations, (during four months, commencing on September 1st prox.,) to prisoners confined in the Mount Eden Gaol, in accordance with a new scale, copies of which can be obtained at this office.

I HEREBY notify, that the Board of Highway Trustees for the District of Howick Township, have appointed

Mr. Anthony Conlon

to be Rate Collector for the District for the present year.

ERECTION OF NEW TOLL BAR.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, August 2nd, 1866.

NOTICE is hereby given, in terms of Clause 5 of “The Turnpike Act, 1866,” of the erection of a new Toll-bar at the junction of the Gaol Road, Mount Eden.
