From the list of Highway Trustee for the
District of “Waitakerei East” as published
in Gazette, No. 32, of date 30th November,
1864, page 217, omit the name “Francis White.”

I HEREBY notify for general information
that the under mentioned gentleman has
resigned his seat as a Member of the Provin-
cial Executive Council:—

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By ROBERT GRAHAM, Esquire, Super-
intendent of the Province of Auck-
land.

In virtue of the powers vested in me by the
“Highways Act, 1862,” I do hereby
declare that

THE DISTRICT OF MAHURANGI

has ceased to be a District under the provi-
sions of the said Act.

Given under my hand at Auckland,
this twentieth day of December,
One thousand eight hundred and
sixty-four.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By ROBERT GRAHAM, Esquire, Super-
intendent of the Province of Auck-
land.

PURSUANT to the powers vested in me
by the second clause of the “Highways
Act, 1862,” I do hereby declare that the
lands comprised within the several boundaries
hereunder described, shall be a district under
the said Act, and that such district shall be
known by the name thereto prefixed, that is
to say,—

THE UPPER MAHURANGI DISTRICT.

All those lands lying between and including
the road from Hepburn’s Creek to Kaipara
Flats on the North; the Mahurangi Har-
bour from Hepburn’s Creek to the head of
the Pukapuka, on the East; the Northern
boundary of the Komokoriki block, on the
South; and the Western boundaries of allot-
ments Nos. 149, 150, 151, 153, 157, 163,
158, 164, 165, and 98 of the Parish of Ma-
hurangi, and a creek to the intersection of
the road from Hepburn’s Creek to Kaipara
Flats aforesaid, on the West—including all
the roads traversing the lands within the
before mentioned boundaries.
